Flying in the comfort of international Premium Economy class, travel around the world to some of its most interesting spots. Start off with a non-stop flight across the Pacific Ocean to Sydney, Australia, often rated as one of the top cities of the world. After touring Sydney, fly to the heart of Vietnam. Explore Hanoi, once the jewel of French Indochina and then spend a night on a ship on the World Heritage site of Halong Bay. Later fly to the romantic Paris; explore the city as well as the neighbouring Palace of Versailles. Then, do as the Europeans do and hop on a train from Paris to Munich, Germany. Discover the delights of the city and then join a tour through the charming countryside to visit one of the famous Bavarian castles. Take another tour to neighboring Austria, to visit Salzburg and you can almost hear the Sound of Music! Later, fly to Krakow in Poland - one of Europe's most interesting medieval cities. Sadly, nearby is one of Europe's darkest places - the Holocaust site of Auschwitz. Later, after visiting the capital, Warsaw, fly back home.

This is an Independent Tour: You can leave on any day that is convenient, flying on regular scheduled airlines. All your flights, accommodations and airport transfers will be booked in advance. In most cities guided sightseeing trips are included. Since you will not be travelling with a group (except during most sightseeing trips), you have considerable freedom to do as you please. This also includes the ability to customize the trip, e.g. by staying longer in a city, for which we will be glad to submit a quote.
Day 1 USA to Australia
Leave Los Angeles in the evening, flying across the Pacific to Australia.
Day 2 in flight
Crossing the International Date Line, you will arrive in Sydney 2 days later.
Day 3 Sydney Arrival
After a morning arrival in Sydney, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy some rest and a free afternoon.
Day 4 Sydney
You will be picked up at your hotel for a half-day city sightseeing tour this morning. The tour will take you to the old part of the city, the historic area called The Rocks, now a lively area with small shops and restaurants. Close by is the magnificent Opera House and besides other historic buildings in the city the tour will take you across Harbor Bridge and to Bondi Beach. On the way back enjoy some great views of the city. The afternoon is at your leisure.
Day 5 Sydney
One of the best views of Sydney – from the top of Harbor Bridge! With your Climb Leader as your guide, step by step you’ll ascend the arches of the Bridge and enjoy the iconic views of Sydney, situated in one of the most beautiful harbors on earth. Listen to stories about the bridge construction in the 1930s, enjoy the view and cherish your souvenir photo! The rest of the day is free..
Day 6 Sydney to Hanoi
Transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Hanoi, arriving in the evening. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 7 Hanoi
Start a private tour with your guide in the northern part of the city at a colorful market selling herbs, spices, sea products and many other local and exotic ingredients. Stroll alongside the lake till Tran Quoc, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi, located on a small island. Carry on past the peaceful Quan Thanh a Taoist temple and the Presidential Palace to the Botanical Gardens. Wander through the maze of narrow streets and crowded alleys until you emerge at a small lake containing the wreckage of a crashed B52 from the Vietnam War. Enjoy coffee at a small local shop nearby the lake and continue walking to Ngoc Ha Street where the car will transfer you back to your hotel. Dinner at a restaurant is included.
Day 8 Hanoi to Halong Bay
Leave Hanoi by car after breakfast and travel through the countryside to Halong Bay. Board the ship, which will be your home tonight. Enjoy lunch while the cruise sails passing by magnificent sceneries of the World Heritage site. In the afternoon, explore Sung Sot cave, hiking up and down 600 steps to the magnificent limestone formations of the biggest and most marvelous cave in Halong bay or enjoy kayaking (optional) around Luon cave area. Back to the vessel and participate in cooking demonstration with cruise's chef. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 9 Halong Bay
Join an early morning Tai Chi session on the sundeck while tea, coffee and assorted pastries are being served. Relax on board or go visit Titov island. Back on board enjoy breakfast, check out and return to Tuan Chau Island. Your driver will take you back to Hanoi and straight to the airport for your evening flight to Paris.
Day 10 Paris Arrival
Bonjour Paris! After an early morning arrival transfer to your hotel. A cruise on the river Seine is included in your stay. Get a first glimpse of the main sights of Paris from the River Seine, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Invalides, Concorde Square, Ile de la Cite, and many more besides. The cruise lasts one hour, takes a circular route and delivers you back to where you started. A hostess and background music ensure you relax and enjoy the cruise.
Day 11 Paris walking tour
Join a guided 3-hour walking tour, starting high up on the roof of the Pompidou Center where you'll get wonderful views of Central Paris. Down at street level you'll head into the winding streets of the Marais and the old Jewish neighborhood. You'll see such beautiful spots as the Place des Vosges, Paris's oldest and most beautiful square. Next you'll dig deeper into Paris' history on the le de la Cite and le de St Louis, two of the oldest quarters in the city. You'll also stop by classic attractions like the Notre Dame Cathedral. Crossing the Seine to the South Bank your guide will lead you through the Latin Quarter and Saint Germain des Pres, two of Paris' most legendary neighborhoods. As you explore the old haunts of writers and libertines, you'll also learn the best places to eat and drink, including a local bakery which will serve you up some fresh French macaroons.
Day 12 Versailles
After breakfast travel by coach to Versailles. Your audio guide will help you find your way during your visit, tell you about the history of the palace, and immerse you in its special atmosphere. Visit the palace's most beautiful rooms: the King's Grand Apartment, and the Queen's Grand Apartment, laid out in a mirror image of those of the king, including the Coronation Room and the Queen's Bedroom, once occupied by Queen Marie Antoinette. Spend time marveling at the spectacular Hall of Mirrors. Spend time exploring the Palace of Versailles gardens and admire the many artworks they contain before returning to Paris. The afternoon is free.
Day 13 Paris to Munich
Take it easy in the morning, then make your way to the railway station, boarding your train for an afternoon departure. Enjoy the French and later German countryside from your comfortable first class seat, arriving in Munich in the evening. Your hotel is located close to the train station.
Day 14 Munich – walking tour or bike tour
Late this morning, join a 2 hour walking tour of Munich. Here history, art, culture, technology, innovation, business and tourism meet. In the pedestrian area of the Old Town, Marienplatz is a central square with landmarks such as the Gothic New Town Hall with the popular daily "Glockenspiel" show, the Old Town Hall and St. Peter, the oldest church in town. You can get a glimpse of Hitler's life and the Nazi movement through the stories of your tour guide. The rest of the day is free.
Alternatively, hop on a bike and follow your guide for a 4 hour tour covering many sites like the seat of the government, the Maximilianeum, the Peace Angel, the English Garden and the Odeonplatz. Stop approximately every 400 yards or so at points of interest and ride at a very relaxed pace. From spring to fall, the tour includes one beer garden break for about an hour. Beer drinking obviously not obligatory!
Day 15 Bavarian castles
Join a long day tour into the Alpine foothills. Hidden in the seclusion of the mountains, Ludwig II built two of his dream castles: Neuschwanstein and Linderhof with its fantastic grotto and Moorish pavilion. This excursion shows you these two extraordinary castles, both testifying to the vision of Bavaria's fairytale King. Your guide will explain the history, and before heading back to you Munich enjoy a short break in Oberammergau.
Day 16 Salzburg (Austria)
Discover elegant Salzburg — historic birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — on a 10-hour day trip from Munich. Relax on the comfortable train ride to Salzburg, take a guided tour of city attractions like Domkirche Cathedral and the Festung Hohensalzburg fortress, then enjoy hours of independent time to explore. Soak up Austrian history, sample local delicacies, and snap photos of the city set against the striking backdrop of the Alps.
Day 17 Munich to Krakow
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Poland. Arrive in Krakow (via Warsaw) early in the afternoon. You will be met and taken to your hotel.
Day 18 Krakow
Your walking tour of Krakow begins in the heart of the Old Town, just a few minutes’ walk from one of Europe's biggest medieval market squares. From here discover some of Krakow's most famous sights - St Mary's basilica (outside only), Cloth Hall, Rynek, Town Hall, Jagiellonian University and the Franciscan Church. We will explore the winding cobblestone streets of Krakow's old town, containing hidden gems and lesser-known attractions. Then head down to the bohemian Kazimierz district to learn all about Krakow's Jewish community past and present. You'll take in the oldest synagogue, the old Jewish cemetery and Remu's synagogue (all sights outside only). Here we'll also have a refreshment break where you'll taste some sweet local specialities. For the final leg of the tour we'll climb the slope up to Krakow's Castle area - the Wawel. Here you'll learn the legend of the dragon and become acquainted with the most important royals from Poland's history, then finish your tour with a view of Krakow and the river Vistula.
Day 19 Auschwitz
An important journey back into the painful past - Auschwitz 1940-1945, the biggest Nazi concentration and death camp in occupied Europe. The Auschwitz Memorial Museum (founded in 1947) was included in the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1979. Your journey to Auschwitz takes over an hour and during this time you will get the chance to see a documentary film depicting the history of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. The tour comprises both parts of the former concentration camp, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. At Auschwitz I we will visit the camp for men and women established the Nazis, it was the place where the first experiments of killing using Zyklon B took place, the first mass transports of Jews were being murdered, the first criminal experiments on prisoners were conducted, and the majority of executions by shooting were performed. Then we will take a 2 mile bus ride to reach Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Here you can see the famous train tracks, the preserved ruins of the gas chambers and places filled with human ashes, as well as primitive barracks for prisoners. After the tour we will return to Krakow.
Day 20 Warsaw
In the morning transfer to the airport for a short flight to Warsaw (coach/economy class only). After arriving at your hotel, take an afternoon tour of Poland’s capital and its many historical buildings as well as Belvedere Palace, the Ghetto Memorial and other sights before returning to your hotel.
Day 21 Warsaw to Los Angeles
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your return flight to Los Angeles, arriving on the same day in the afternoon.
